Bio-mechanical Under the Skin
This is my second favorite style to tattoo, black and gray bio-mechanical has always looked really cool to me. As a teenager I was (and still am) in Awe of H.R. Geiger. Though this looks nothing like his art, he is the Godfather of this style in general.
This guy was really cool, he came in with a photo of a similar tattoo....a bio-mech under the skin. And he trusted me to do this by the seat of my pants. I drew out a few circles, with some squiggly lines, and began tattooing.
I'm sure it's really nerve racking at first to watch it go from very basic concept, to sketchy version, to finished tattoo. And I really appreciate the trust that people lend me in these situations.... if he had second guessed my idea, or began suggesting that I simply copy the idea that he came in with, then this wouldn't have been anywhere near the tattoo that it is! Thank you!
